Tell Them to Follow LaRue’s Lead

Grass Roots North Carolina (GRNC) issued an alert on Sunday recommending that members contact the leading manufacturers of law enforcement handguns, and urge them to follow LaRue Tactical’s lead and refuse to sell to state and local governments what cannot be sold to citizens.

In a Friday announcement on Facebook, LaRue Tactical owner Mark LaRue took a stand for the Second Amendment rights of average American citizens. Effective Friday “LaRue Tactical will limit all sales to what law-abiding citizens residing in their districts can purchase or possess”.

Grass Roots North Carolina, like many 2nd Amendment supporters, picked up on this news. But, in addition to celebrating Mr. LaRue’s stand, GRNC is urging other firearms manufacturers to follow suit and suggests that we let them know that we expect them to stand with us.

“Will other firearm manufacturers have the guts to stand up like LaRue and Barrett do?” they asked in Sunday’s alert.

The GRNC alert provides email addresses for the law enforcement sales managers at Sig Sauer, Glock and Smith & Wesson as well as a sample script you can use.

“Police sales are not your major business. It’s time for firearm manufacturers to send a clear message that you will not participate in the slow erosion of our Second Amendment rights.”

As Federal legislation seems less and less likely, more and more states and local governments are picking up the ball and attacking our rights. Contacting your elected officials is incredibly important, but getting firearms companies involved is also critical.

  1. Not only LaRue, but we also have other true corporate patriots like Cabela’s and now Olympic Arms who have also stepped up and stated that they are not coin-operated puppets.

Their new policies speak volumes and carry much weight and when this is finally settled, we the people will not forget them.

Nor will we forget those others like Dick’s and Cheaper than Dirt, etc.

  2. LaRue is to be applauded.

In addition Olympic Arms just announced they will not sell in any fashion to New York.
